AS A WRITER I RESPECT INDIAN culture. So many people come to India to feel the deep warmth of Indian marriage.

 I visited India as a tourist I love the country and I fell in love with their weddings and decided to throw my fake Indian wedding with my girlfriend Aleem we dressed up with Indian clothes we got in the antenna. forever one. I shared this wedding with people on the internet and many people loved it, but to my surprise, I got in trouble in the Western world you stole their culture you are so disrespectful this is cultural appropriation.

I was shocked and angry because cultural appropriation is defined in the dictionary word for word as taking things from a culture that is not yours without showing that you understand or respect the culture this Indian wedding is the exact opposite of that what has happened to us. We are separating people into different cultures this is yours and this is mine. You don't touch my culture food or heritage and I don't touch yours in the USA. 

You see it happens all the time and also in Israel and Palestine Israel Isai Tunis is ours Palestinians say no Hamas is ours and the funny thing is Hamas is neither Israel nor Palestinian apparently. It has originated in ancient Egypt thousands of years ago tons of cultures shared this delicious amazing Palestinian Egyptian Lebanese Israeli-Syrian Middle Eastern meal and that's exactly my point of culture the things.

We are trying to protect has been created by many people over many years tick Zanzibar, for example, the food is Indian the language is Arabic and the clothes are African it is an amazing mix of all cultures in one place don't get me wrong cultural appropriation is real and it happens all the time people steal other cultures and claim them as if it's theirs it happens here.

 But 99% of the time visiting a place dressing up with their clothes having fun together is not cultural appropriation it's cultural appreciation see you next week one of the best parts of Indian culture is an Indian wedding so today I decided to fake marry my actual girlfriend meaning in an Indian
